Year-round, I teach theatre in different capacities throughout New York City.
During the typical academic year (Sept-June), I am a Wendy Wasserstein Project Representative for TDF (Theatre Development Fund). I take high schoolers to see free Broadway & Off-Broadway shows throughout the year, and then I facilitate post-show conversations about the experience between students and industry professionals. Additionally, I am a Teaching Artist with TDF’s Intro to Theatre program, visiting individual high schools to help boost their theatre education. Formerly, I was a Playwright-in-Residence with TDF’s Young Playwrights Program, teaching high school freshman about the craft of playwriting.
During the summer, I serve as an Adjunct Professor at New York University for Tisch’s New Studio on Broadway Summer Program, a five-week conservatory designed to teach aspiring performers acting, singing, dancing, and critical thinking. I focus on the latter concentration with my class History & Musicals: “How history shaped the musicals that shaped history.”
