    For his 30th birthday, Leo planned a three-day murder mystery…in the middle-of-nowhere Vermont…for 7 gay men, 3 women, and a dog. However, what no one planned for was just how invested some people would get in the game.

    A private workshop reading was held by Company of Fools (New York, NY) in June 2024. The director was Tyler Riley, and the cast was: Michael Odofin (Leo), Joseph Allen (Kaleb), Eamon Yates (George), A.J. Alvarez (Felix), and Chevy Martinez (Ryan).

  • On Thanksgiving eve, 27-year-old Salvatore (Sal) returns to his unspokenly-fascist family's home in Pennsylvania. A rare occurrence. His queer life—work, play, chosen family—has been confined to the safety of New York City, intentionally so. But this trip home is different, necessary.

    A staged reading was held by Arts Fort Worth (Fort Worth, Texas) for their 2024 Original Works Series Readings on March 21, 2024. The director was Jessie Beebe, and the cast was: Ryan Derrick (Sal), Faith Hope Cheesman (Nicolina), Zach Huffman (Nonno), and Stephen Devereaux (Rafael).

  • When the New York Times spoke once more of poet Frank O’Hara in 1983, 17 years after his passing, they remembered him as “a man who [couldn’t] stay down.” Meanwhile in Fire Island Pines, a community Frank called home, many men were horrifically being knocked down amidst an epidemic. This play attempts, briefly, to bring these narratives together through dialogue & poetry as a man struggles to bear the grief of the world around him.

    A previous edition of this play, titled “Where Crown Crosses Ocean,” was first published in Issue 11 of Tulsa Review, a literary journal published annually by Tulsa Community College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The current edition of this play was then published in Issue 6 of Hominum Journal, a literary magazine that publishes online quarterly.
